Accessibility

DUO wants everyone to be able to use Naarnederland.nl. That includes people with a disability. For example, people who have problems with their vision.

Rules for government websites

Government websites must be accessible. That means everyone should be able to use them. That is why there are rules for government websites. These rules apply to the website’s function, technology and language. For more information about the rules for government websites, check out the ‘Digital Accessibility Standard’ EN 301 549.

What DUO does

This is how DUO ensures proper accessibility:

  • We have our own digital accessibility auditors. They monitor our websites’ compliance with the rules.
  • Our auditors teach courses to employees. And they help develop accessible websites and applications.
  • Accessibility is part of the design and building process. We use a design system called Uno for this purpose.
  • All of the software we purchase is accessible.

Accessibility statement

We review this website at least every 3 years. There is also an accessibility statement for Naarnederland.nl that provides further information on the current level of accessibility of the website. And what can be improved on. This statement is based on our investigation reports.
