The exam consists of 3 parts.
Exam content
What you need to learn for the exam:
- Knowledge of Dutch Society (KNS)
- Reading (‘reading skills’)
- Speaking (‘speaking skills’)
Knowledge of Dutch Society (KNS)
You must learn about the Netherlands: how we interact with each other in the Netherlands and the social rules in Netherlands. This is explained in the film ‘Naar Nederland’ from the self-study package.
Reading
You must be able to read simple Dutch (language level A1).
Speaking
You must be able to speak simple Dutch (language level A1).
Self-study package
You can learn for the exam on your own using the self-study package. The self-study package can be used by everyone, even if you haven’t learned to read or write. The self-study package is available in several languages. You can follow the lessons in 2 ways:

- the workbook ‘Naar Nederland (Dutch for non-Dutch speakers)'
